Appeal to reason. We got limited time in life, and we get time to do only a few. Choose what you want to do wisely. Write down five priorities in your life, things you value the most, and check which activities you spend your time doing contribute to achieving goals related to those priorities. If you find yourself spending time with things irrelevant to what is prior, stop it. Adjust your schedule to accord with what you think is most important.
If your family is a priority, check the quality time you spend with your family. Look into the kinds of activities you do with them. It is important for the time you dedicate to your priorities to be quality time. Don't just spend time pointlessly doing what you do without the utmost care and mindfulness. Make sure that you are fully experiencing that time and making the most out of it.
Reclaim control over your life. Accept the responsibility and act accordingly. Don't let time just pass and life just go. Plan your day ahead of time. Don't be too lazy to stop for a moment and check what you want and need to do and decide how you will do it. If you feel the pressure of responsibility, don't panic. Just try to calm yourself by looking at things the way they actually are. Once you get to work and start acting, things will look far easier than you ever expected and also fun.
